Nicholas had a rough start being born a preemie, weighing only 4 ½ lbs and then months later hospitalized with phenomena. He is now healthy and a typical boy who loves dirt. Nicholas is the joy of his parent's and grandparent's lives.

The Sunday Telegraph ;has broken the story that First-Lady-Elect Michelle Obama has recruited her mother, Marian Robinson (above, in an interview with the Boston Globe) 71, to move to the White House -- from Chicago -- and take care of her granddaughters, First Kids Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7. We hear there are 17 available bedrooms...that's quite a mother-in-law unit! This is the first multigenerational family to occupy the White House since Bess Truman's mother went along to Washington, D.C. in 1945.
