A Pirate’s Life for Me!
GRAND reader Kathy Fiscus tells us she and her husband plan a camp for their seven grandkids every summer. Their 2010 camp was pirate-themed. Says Kathy, “My husband and I…plan a few fun activities with arts and crafts, music, games and of course, lots of water time. We have flag raising and the pledge as well as flag lowering ceremonies with taps and the “Day is Done” song…. I want to make memories and help them build a strong bond among their cousins.”
Pssst, readers! We want to hear about your own grandkid camps. Email us and we’ll share your ideas in GRAND!

Cougar Communities?
Boomers are living longer and healthier lives—and rediscovering love in the nicest places. For instance, there’s Bob and Audrey, who were both living at a 55-plus Del Webb community in Texas but had never met until a golfing buddy set them up on a blind date. Says Audrey, “Some friends call our meeting ‘karma’ — it was meant to be. I hope other single people will have the same opportunity to open up their hearts to meet someone.” After a year of being married, both Audrey and Bob still feel like newlyweds, traveling the world, both working part-time. “We enjoy each and every day to the fullest,” says Audrey. “I am definitely in my glory days!”
