Grandmom, Jane Fonda’s 3rd Act

Are we living in a longevity revolution? That’s the message Jane Fonda presented at the inaugural, bicoastal TEDxWomen conference; it’s worth watching and worth sharing.

Entitled Life’s Third Act Ms. Fonda started her talk sharing points of view that many people are awakening to: philosophers, doctors and artists are taking a new look at the last three decades of life.  It’s now being identified as a developmental stage of life with its own significance and that decline into decrepitude is not our destiny. Ms. Fonda eloquent message is spot on and I could have listened to her much longer than her allotted eleven minutes. If you’re like me, once you watch this video you’ll want to send it to your children, your friends and family. Here’s the link for her inspirational talk.

One other thing, Jane Fonda looks incredible. I love her hair and even the funky heavy black rimmed glasses worked well with her personality.  She is the image of total confidence and ultimately, that was the jest of her Life’s Third Act message.

TED is a cultural phenomenon that allows anyone to log on to watch critically acclaimed, inspired talks from the world’s leading thinkers and doers.
