Gary Osborne, former F.I.T. professor, fashion designer and father of two, today announced the launch of Oliver & Adelaide. The subscription service specializes in curating seasonal packages of American-made clothing, furnishings and toys for babies and toddlers 0-3 years old.
“After becoming parents, my partner Bill and I discovered how
difficult it was to find high-quality childrens’ products from American manufacturers.
Based upon numerous conversations with other new parents and extensive
research, it became clear that we were not alone,” said Gary Osborne,
CEO of Oliver & Adelaide. “Oliver & Adelaide, which is named for our
two children, fills this void in the marketplace by offering made in
the USA products that are ideal for your child’s age and point in
development. We also believe that these unique items will become
cherished heirlooms for generations to come.”
How Oliver & Adelaide Works:
• Curating Best-of-the-Best — The Oliver & Adelaide packages are
bespoke by Osborne, who scouts out domestic artists, designers, textiles and manufacturers to deliver the highest quality pieces made
in the USA. Oliver & Adelaide is working with leading American-based
companies, including Battenkill Fibers, Neve Hawk, Loop, Cie, Kathryn
Davey, Smiling Tree Toys, Radish Moon, K Studio and Zuzii.
• Seasonally-themed — Every season, Osborne creates three offerings,
including The Complete Style & Comfort Package, The Beautiful
Beginnings Package and The Ultimate Baby Shower Package. Each package
is based on a unique theme that complements the season.
• One-on-One Consultation — Osborne consults directly with new
parents to make sure the package fits the family’s style and preference.
• Highly Personalized Service — Select products are customized for
babies and toddlers to add a highly personal touch to your order.
This includes inscribing your child’s name in clothing or other items.
Prior to launching Oliver & Adelaide, Osborne was a fashion designer
best known for leading the design direction in New York and China for > Perry Ellis, Ports 1961 Menswear, HMX Sportswear and Astor & Ivy. In
addition to overseeing Oliver & Adelaide, Osborne spends part of his
time teaching art to children as well as fashion history and styling
at several New York City fashion colleges, including F.I.T.
