Daughtry and Frankie J. headline third annual NASCAR
Championship Drive festival in So. Florida
Fun, food and music for South Florida family and friends are on the menu for the third annual NASCAR Championship Drive festival scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 15 in Miami Beach. Multi-platinum musical talent Daughtry and Universal Latino recording artist Frankie J. will headline the Coca-Cola Racing Family Concert beginning at 6 p.m.
The one-day festival kicks off Ford Championship Weekend, where NASCAR will crown champions in its three national series, including the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, on Nov. 18 (3 p.m. ET, ESPN) at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
To set the stage, a parade in Miami Beach featuring approximately 40 race haulers from the top NASCAR teams will signal the unofficial start of the race weekend beginning at 3:30 p.m. The parade starts in downtown Miami and travels across the MacArthur Causeway and onto Ocean Drive before ending at Lummus Park. Then, South Florida personality and radio host DJ Laz will help fans enjoy the perfect combination of family, food, sports and fun beachside leading into the main musical acts that evening.
All activities are FREE to the public and more information can be found at NASCARChampionshipDrive.com. For race ticket information, visitHomesteadMiamiSpeedway.com.
