GRAND Magazine is proud to welcome our newest GRAND Ambassador, grandmom, Pam Torres!
“I’m Grandma to six grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and a new one due in February. I live in Washington state and am blessed to be near all of them. We did travel for a year and we kept in contact with all of our grands through phone calls, Skype, individual postcards and letters. I am also an author of a middle grade book, inspired by my granddaughter’s love of dogs.”
Pam Torres has worked with children of many ages to teach them reading, writing, art, and outdoor skills and has also taught piano to children for over twenty years. Torres has also served as managing editor of a literary magazine, has published several articles in various publications, and is an active member of SCBWI and PNWA. She has raised six children and has seven grandchildren and has taken care of numerous pets and other animals. She published her first book in 2012, If Dogs Could Blog. The second in the Project Madison series, It’s NOT Just A Dog! is due out early 2014. She blogs at SoI’mFifty.blogspot.com
