GRAND Magazine

GRAND Magazine Celebrates 10th Anniversary!

It seems like it was only yesterday. I know that sounds like such a cliché, but we grands know how quickly our grandchildren grow up, and GRAND Magazine has been more than a magazine…it’s been our GRANDbaby.

BCrystalFrom GRAND Magazine’s conception in 2003 and birth in 2004 through the early years as she learned to roll-over, crawl, walk, run, read and write, we witnessed the many little miracles; seeing her get in and out of all kinds of situations; sometimes fearing for her safety, and sometimes, sure our hearts would burst with pride. At the same time, we had to give her space to stand on her own and find her own unique way. These past ten years of GRAND Magazine have been a labor of love and commitment; definitely mirroring the trials, tribulations and tremendous joys of GRANDparenthood.

During the difficult and oh-so-scary years when the economy tanked and the media industry violently erupted from the digital revolution, GRAND weathered the storms because of a committed extended family–from advertisers, sponsors, investors, partners, writers, editors, designers, distributors, marketers, web masters and social media gurus, radio producers, friends, family, and the inspirational grandparents who generously shared their wisdom and personal stories. And most important, you–our precious readers and cheerleaders. To this amazing extended family, we say thank you!
