Grandparents Day is this Sunday! On September 7, 2014, families all over the United States will honor and celebrate their grandparents. Like National Siblings Day this past April, which went viral with millions taking to social media to boast about their brothers and sisters, Grandparents Day is poised to have millions of grandchildren showing off their grandparents with photos on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
This holiday has flown under the radar, but with grandparents more involved in their grandchildren’s lives than ever before, 2014 is the year to solidify Grandparents Day as a national holiday with cards, celebrations, and media coverage. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 7.7 million children live with a grandparent.
