By Mike Tikkanen – Founder of Kids At Risk Action (KARA) 501c3 nonprofit
Our nonprofit Kids At Risk Action, KARA, is dedicated to improving child protection in America.
KIDS AT RISK ACTION is partnering with Minnesota Public Television (TPT) to tell the INVISIBLE CHILDREN’s story through compelling interviews with children and adults within the world of child protection.
We are collecting real life stories about grandparents, grandchildren, and child protection systems around the nation for our website, new book, and documentary project and we want to hear your story.
Your experiences are important and can help us create change in public policies and programs that will improve the lives of at risk children around the nation.
Please share your story/experiences about how your family dealt with child abuse and child protective systems in your state.
KARA’s purpose is to share stories that will create awareness of what is working and what needs changing in how grandparents and extended families are treated in America.
Please help KARA build a better understanding of these most important issues by sending us your story of how your family dealt with child protective services.
