Events can be as simple as a child’s kindergarten graduation or as dramatic as the Super Bowl. It doesn’t matter what your preference is or even if it is constantly evolving. What does matter is that you and your grankids are “experiencing” something that will give you both great satisfaction and a lifetime of memories.

All grandkids love trains and they’ll love atetnding this event. Since 1979. Folks from near and far, including many railroad enthusiasts, make the Amory Railroad Festival a “must,” year in and year out. Amory owes its very existence to the railroad – the town was established by the old KCMandB (Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham) Railroad at the mid-point between Memphis and Birmingham and named the town for railroad magnate Harcourt Amory. The KCMandB eventually became the Frisco (St. Louis and San Francisco), which in turn was purchased by the Burlington Northern in the 1970s. The BN then merged with the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad in 1995, resulting in the current “Burlington Northern Santa Fe” Bring the whole family and plan to spend at least one full day in Amory. Ya’ll come! Yuh heah?
