Spring to Life: Egg Carton Caterpillar

We grandparents love to do crafts with our grandkids.  Here’s one that is quick, simple and lots of fun, the egg carton caterpillar.

Spring is the perfect time to talk to your birds about nature and its cycles of life. To help you, this week’s craft is a silly, segmented caterpillar.

Materials:

  • An empty egg carton.
  • Scissors.
  • Craft paint.
  • Paintbrushes.
  • Googly eyes.
  • Glue.

Instructions for the egg carton caterpillar:

  • Cut the empty egg carton, so you are left with a single row of egg cups.
  • Turn over and paint green.
  • Let dry.
  • Paint designs on caterpillar.
  • Let dry.
  • Glue googly eyes on front and let dry.
