Book Review By: GRAND Reader, Nancy Pendelton
Her message is strong…..its a message we, as woman all know; just need a little reminder now and then. Exercise, nutrition, and skin care, are some of what works for Valerie Ramsey and which helped her create her latest book.
Wisdom, grace and vitality are the words I would use to describe this writer. Actually it’s more of a “journal” written for public consumption.
This well crafted series reminds us ladies how to take the best care of ourselves as we age. Most of us enter that process kicking and screaming, but Ms Ramsey shows us how it can be done with grace.
Having raised six, yes six children, she launched herself into totally foreign territory…..a professional career. She had skills, remember she had raised six children but, those skills did not transfer into what she had her sights set upon. So, with newly honed computer skills in hand she worked herself into what became a very successful professional career…..did I mention she started this in her 50’s? For Ms Ramsey, she was just gaining momentum. Having the gift of being naturally tall and thin also launched her into an ongoing successful modeling career and put her on the speaking circuit.
Using her first book, Gracefully – Looking and Being Your Best at Any Age, as a jumping off point, Ms Ramsey’s newest book asks the question, “What do you do when you reach middle age and all of a sudden you find yourself wondering, ‘What’s Next?’”
Now in her 70’s Valerie Ramsey is going full speed ahead. How do we create what’s next for us? Gracefully…….
