As I was reading this book I kept thinking, wouldn’t it be grand if this book was required reading in middle school. John Terhune’s latest book, Enhanced People Skills is for anyone who is seeking to become more successful in life as an employee, business owner, leader, manager, negotiator, spouse, parent, friend, mentor or student.
I think Enhanced People Skills should be read at an early age; before 18 years of age. Hopefully, before the bad habits become ingrained and you’ve lost that early edge. Reading this book and putting it into action will give your child/grandchild a serious competitive advantage in life no matter what career choice they make. It would be the perfect gift for the new graduate.
Of course, it’s never to late to improve yourself. Enhanced People Skills is a quick and easy read loaded with inspiration and down-to-earth wisdom that you can put to work immediately.
Another reason I really like this book is that its not filled with highfalutin theory; It serves up the answers to some basic, but very serious questions, such as:
- How easily are you discouraged?
- How are you viewed by the people who know you best?
- How well do you perform on “bad” days?
- How do you handle adversity?
As Jack Lannom, CEO of People First International states in the book’s foreword; “As I was reading Enhanced People Skills, I was so impressed with the fact that John covered all of the areas a person must master to go beyond good and become great with their people skills. Moreover, his writing style is very refreshing in that it is not only highly instructional, but very inspirational as well. A John Terhune book is not boring—you will find yourself glued to every page soaking in the wisdom of each new enhanced people skill, realizing that this is the book you have been looking for all of your life. I am making Enhanced People Skills required reading for all of my clients.
