Smugglers' Notch

Smugglers’ Notch Is GRAND Magazine’s #1 Choice Award: Best Family Resort!

Choices, choices, choices…it can be overwhelming where to take the family to enjoy a good ol’ fashioned vacation without breaking the bank or needing a vacation from your vacation when you get home. Most important, we want to connect with our families and make memories!

We grandparents are paying for more multi-gen vacations then ever before and we want to get real value from the experience. In other words REAL time with our families, especially those adorable g-kids, right?

GRAND’s editorial team is proud to announce that we’ve selected Smugglers’ Notch Resort as our 2015 #1 Choice Award for Best Family Resort. Check out their website and you’ll see all the many reasons for this selection. One of the reasons is that Smugglers’ is truly a year round family experience, so whether you want to take your family in the winter, spring, summer or fall, you will find an exceptional opportunity to experience nature at it’s finest (not the pretend type of nature you find at some places) along with excellent accommodations, great service, good food and tons of fun.

hikeBut, don’t just take our word for it…check our just two of their recent reviews:

smugglers' notchThe resort is very family friendly with programs for kids of all ages. Located in the Green Hills of Vermont, it’s an outdoor enthusiast’s delight. Beautiful grounds, some great pools, and a management team that stays on top of things and instills that “get it right” attitude in it’s employees. We happened to be there over the 4th of July and they had an amazing fireworks display and Smugglers' notchrelated activities. It’s a great place to get away from everything, or use as a base to visit nearby Montreal, the Burlington waterfront and Lake Champlain, and many early american/historic sites and towns.”

Smugglers' notch“This was my 7th visit to Smuggs and I can’t possibly say enough good things about this resort! I just returned from vacation and wish I could turn around and spend all summer there! It feels like home the moment I pull into the property. As a mom with 3 kids (ages 12,9, 7), I will say this is hands-down the BEST place for an active family. All 3 of my kids LOVE the camps. The counselors are all top-notch (pun intended), going out of their way to make sure the children all have fun! How awesome to know my kids are having a blast (swimming, hiking, mini-golf, arts & crafts, games, the list goes on…) while my husband and I can spend time together. We love going on the guided hikes, or playing a round of disc golf, or relaxing by one of the many pools, or spending the day in Stowe, or wine tasting at Boyden Winery, or having lunch at the Burger Barn in Jeffersonville (mouth is watering now…must change the subject!).Obviously, I could go on & on! On the days my children decide not to go to camp, there is always family based activities being offered on resort, such as walks, silly group games like life size foosball! And there is always something happening in the evenings as well…the fun just does not end! If you have an opportunity to go to Smuggs, don’t pass on it, Go…Go Now!!

smugglers notchCongratulations, Smugglers’ Notch!
