It’s that time of the year again and the question is…”Do digital gifts make good holiday gifts?”
Is there a special pdf or an MP3 that someone on your list (maybe you) has been hoping for? Have you already set up an electronic stocking and does Santa know about it?
If you want to save time, gas and all the hassle of crowds and running around, you are already shopping online.
And as long as we are on the subject of downloads as Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers, here are some things that you can download as gifts for your friends and loved ones (or for yourself) and you can download some of them for a dollar or less:
FOR NEW GRANDPARENTS:
Give them a gift subscription to GRAND Magazine – there is even a gift card option.
Everything a new grandparent needs to know like the best grandparent nicknames, the latest child/infant safety tips, early childhood development, and everything else you need to be an awesome grandparent. Plus, GRAND is for veteran grands looking for answers on legacy planning, travel, health, fitness, finance, family relationships, and much more. Oh and BTW, when you give digital gifts, there are no trees, oil or gas consumed, so it’s good for the environment. Lastly, the g-kids will know how cool you really are when they see you reading a digital magazine.
FOR THE POLITICOS ON YOUR LIST
Here are two great songs you can download that could become great conversation pieces as you watch the Presidential debates or sit around the Christmas dinner table:
1) For aspiring politicians or for people who like to make fun of politicians… here is a link to a free clip of a song called “Run For Office” , a satire on politics. The people will love this song, politicians will hate it. You can hear a free clip of Run for Office at www.barrows.com/music.html and there is also a link on that page where you can download the song for 99 cents on iTunes.
2) For people who think a lot about money (and that just might be all of us)…and for everyone who is on the wrong side of Income Inequality…Enclosed is a link to a free clip of a song about money called “Big Bucks.” If money is indeed the root of all evil, you’re going to love a song called “Big Bucks.” You can hear a free clip of Big Bucks at www.barrows.com/music.html and there is also a link on that page where you can download the song for 99 cents on iTunes.
FOR MUSIC, MOVIE AND BOOK LOVERS
Check out iTunes – Amazon – Kindle.…all have fabulous books, music, movies and more for your downloading pleasure.
Imagine all of the great digital gifts that could be the perfect fit for someone you know…especially that new or expecting grandparent!
“Gee, thanks Sweetheart! How did you know that subscription to GRAND Magazine was just what I wanted?”
“A guy named Santa told me.”
