Since 1974, colorful Marching units from throughout New England and Ireland! it’s always a grand time! Area residents can contribute to the parade budget by purchasing a St. Patricks Day button at area bars and restaurants. Since the mid-1950’s the St. Patrick’s Day Parade of Greater New Haven has become one of New England’s premier Irish events. It is the largest, single- day spectator event in the State of Connecticut. As the 6th oldest parade in the nation, its fame was recognized by the Library of Congress in 1999. This keepsake of New Haven’s Irish community became a national keepsake when the Library of Congress selected the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade as an outstanding example of American folk life.

Thousands of spectators from the region have crowded the streets and sidewalks of downtown Baltimore and the famous Inner Harbor to watch thousands more march and celebrate Irish culture, music, song, and dance.

Since 1970, features a 5k run with over 13,000 runners, walkers and wheelchair racers of all ages welcome. There are 13 different age categories for both male and female competitive runners, ranging in age from under 14 to 70- plus years. Prizes will be awarded in age categories for both men and women, including “14 and under” and “70 and over.” The parade follows stepping off at 18th and Market Streets and proceeds east on Market to Broadway and then south on Broadway where it will disband. The parade takes place “rain or shine.” It will begin at 18th and Market streets, and proceed east to its conclusion at Broadway and Market streets. The parade, also known as St. Louis’ “Rite of Spring,” will feature over 130 units, including floats, bands, marching units, large helium-filled balloons, and over 5,000 marchers. In the past with good weather, more than 250,000 spectators have gathered along Market Street to watch the elaborate floats, marching bands, marching units, dance groups, animal units, novelty units, and motorized units. View the children’s favorites – giant cartoon character helium-filled balloons. Irish Village at Keiner Plaza Broadway and Market. The Irish-themed entertainment area will feature food, beverages, merchandise and live entertainment. It will be open before, during, and after the parade.

Since 1967, The Cincinnati St. Patrick Parade is produced by the Cincinnati St. Patrick Parade Committee and Fountain Square Management Group. The committee is composed of residents from both Ohio and Northern Kentucky. •The Parade will start at Fifth and Sentinel Streets The route will travel west on Fifth St. to Plum St. It will turn south on Plum St. and go to Third St. It will turn west on Third St. and continue until ending at Third and Central Streets.

Since 1995. As Southwest Virginia’s premiere St. Patrick’s Day celebration continues to grow. The Celtic Festival takes place right in the heart of downtown Roanoke and is combined with the McDonald’s St. Pat’s Parade. This parade is one of the largest St. Pat’s parades in the entire mid-Atlantic region. Thousands from all across the entire region attend this award winning event. One reason for the success of this parade and festival is the family- friendly nature of the entire Celebration. The festival will be held directly behind the City Market Building on Market Street.

The day starts with the Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast and continues with the parade stepping off at approximately 11 a.m. After the parade, guests can frequent Dublin establishments where Irish entertainment and specials are featured. Approximately 110 units including marching bands, clowns, floats and giant balloons are featured in each parade before an estimated crowd of 20,000 guests.
