Living the ageless life
BY CHRISTINE CROSBY
What gives? There’s a stunning French model on the cover of GRAND, and eight more beautiful women featured inside! I thought we celebrated the freedom to NOT worry about beauty, clothes, and makeup…is this a sellout?
No, it isn’t and yes, we still do. The key word is ‘FREEDOM’… to act, dress, and do as you feel at any age, and especially in the ‘grand’ stage of life. For many of us, that starts somewhere around age 50.

‘Act your age’ is a cutting slight to a young person and is worse yet when you’re older. After all, who has the right to judge if our behavior is age-appropriate? If you don’t like what we do, look away!
Our cover girl, Yazemeenah Rossi says we need to embrace our age and make the most of our one precious life. That precious life will be longer if we eat whole foods, move our bodies, engage with our community, and pursue our passions. All that is, hopefully, summed up in GRAND’s new tagline, ‘Living the Ageless Life’.
For the inside dirt on modeling and the beauty industry, check out our Ted Talk by Cameron Russell. I just shared it with my granddaughters.
In this issue we not only celebrate ageless beauty, we celebrate multigenerational home living, multigenerational travel, and transformative learning at any age. We explore a possible silver lining for dementia sufferers, learn what it’s like to have a grandchild “on the spectrum,” celebrate the passage of the Family First Prevention Services Act, find the best toys n’ tech, sample delicious recipes and more… we celebrate ageless living.
