Tuesdays With Jack is a love story between a Buba and her grandson. What started as a weekly Facebook post turned into a book filled with tender memories, witty quips from Jack and parallels between raising her only son and her time with Jack. One of my favorite exchanges in the book:
“How strong are your muscles, Buba?” I proudly flex my bicep. “What’s that floppy bit?”
Daniel shares her commitment to get fit and her insecurities during her first visit to a Crossfit gym, her gingerbread baking tradition and the many adventures she and Jack shared on their Tuesdays until the day he stated kindergarten. Many grandmothers will smile as they read entries that remind them of their own precious moments with their “Jack”.
About the author:
Pauline Daniel loves being a grandmother. She describes herself as a Baby Boomer Buba, i.e., not the Russian-speaking buba of her youth but a buba who works out, is self-employed and dances to country music in jeans. In addition to being a first-time author, Pauline is the owner of Coaching Connections, a life-coaching practice which serves women. She calls herself the “how to follow your heart” coach — in keeping with the way she lives her life. Pauline and her husband Jim live in a small mountain town in British Columbia. Jack and his family live nearby.
