Nini and Poppie’s Excellent Adventures
Author: Jerry Zezima
Reviewer: Jeanette Perkins aka Beeba
Nini and Poppie’s Excellent Adventures is a humorous look at Jerry Zezima’s experiences both as a grandfather (Poppie) of three and a 60 something Baby Boomer husband to Sue (Nini). Jerry shares many of his grand moments such as teaching four year old Chloe to eat her first ice cream in a cone, antics at the Grandfather Playground Society and introducing grandson Xavier to the Three Stooges.
He also brings us along on other adventures he has enjoyed without the grandkids such as stomping grapes, riding along on an early morning paper delivery route, attending a Paint & Sip class and a tutorial on how to bathe your dog.
This is a fun collection of short stories with Jerry the brunt of most of the jokes. There is also a plethora of Poppie puns sprinkled throughout. Enjoy this light look at spending time with your grands while living a grand life.
