Little Book of You

Little Book of You

Reviewer: Jeanette Perkins aka Beeba

What child wouldn’t want a book all about the day they were born? My daughter ordered one for my 2 year old grandson. The website was very easy to use and she was given a list of questions to be prepared to answer. The book arrived in one week and we are both thrilled with it. It is very high quality and the illustrations colorful and cute.

Little Book of You coverMany of the facts are woven into the book in clever ways. The date and time of the child’s birth are displayed on a wall calendar and digital clock and there is a two page spread of a giant family tree with family members names sprinkled in the branches. But the thing we liked best was a page with his first address and an actual map with the address marked in a big red “X”.

Little Book of You page sample

Sample of details included:

  • Personal note from parents
  • First visitors
  • Why the baby’s name was picked
  • Nicknames
  • Other events that happened on that day in history
  • Cost of common items like milk, gas and stamps
  • Sports winners (World Series, Superbowl, etc)

On a customer service note – my daughter was not able to preview the book before ordering but realized after she finalized the book that she had made a mistake. She contacted customer service right away and the error was corrected before the book went to print.

At a price of $49.95 (free shipping), this may not be in the budget of all young couples. However it would make an excellent gift at a baby shower, first birthday party or any other childhood event. I think most grandparents would love to give this to their precious new grand. It is very easy to purchase a gift certificate or create your own little book.
