You can take the girl out of the city, but can you take the city out of the girl? Rebecca Branch is moving to the country. Her Gran is in need of help on Blackberry Farm and in the family store. So the Branch family is pulling up roots and relocating.
Her brother and sister are none too happy about the change but Rebecca decides to embrace the situation. The first thing she does is announce that she will now be known at Becket. Next she writes a “Becket List” of how to become a country kid during her first summer on Blackberry Farm. Young readers will enjoy following Becket as she learns about farm animals, making new friends and opening your heart to new experiences even if they sometimes end in sadness.
“Beautiful Alert!” is Becket’s new battle cry as she explores her new environment and all its wonders. City grands will get a taste of life on the farm and everyone will get a lesson in adapting to change with a positive attitude.
