The Amazing Power of Kids and Compassion!

 

Ryan Kyote, age 9, paid off the school lunch debt for his entire third-grade-class at West Park Elementary School in Napa, CA. He was inspired by a news story about a 5-year-old in Indiana who was turned away from lunch because he couldn’t afford the meal. Ryan saved his allowance to pay-off the $74.80 debt.

 

11-year-old Evy Keppers of Northland MN started an annual “Fighting For Friends” one-mile walk/run to raise money for pediatric cancer research, and to buy toys for patients at a nearby children’s cancer center. It’s now in its fourth year!

 

High school football players from Nampa High School in Idaho surprised a 9-year-old boy with autism by coming to his birthday party after only one classmate accepted his invitation. As the boy told his local TV station, KTVB, “This is probably the best birthday ever. I have lots of best days in my life, and this might be one of them.”
