I downloaded the Just One More Story app to my iPhone with no problem. I selected the book Good Night Moon. When I initially tried to do the recording, it was not clear that I could add a personal message at the beginning. After one practice run, I easily recorded my final version and sent it to my daughter to test with my two grandsons, age one and a half and almost three. She was pleased with the quality of the recording. Some advice – take your time, enunciate and make sure there is no background noise. My daughter was happy to not have to download a new app on her phone.
The first trial with the recording and book produced lots of giggles from the boys. The next day, the two little guys were crying and my daughter pulled out the book and started playing the recording on her phone. They immediately stopped and walked over to listen. The best part – at the end of the book I wished the boys goodnight and told them I loved them. The youngest grand replied, “Goodnight Beeba”. This is a neat way for grandparents to be a part of the bedtime routine. It would also be great for parents who are not around every night.
There are only twenty titles available at this time. You will also need to purchase the book you have selected if they don’t already own it. An Amazon link to purchase the book is included in the automated message generated to send to your grandchild. All selections are $2.99 to record.
