Long Ago, on a Starry Night relives the miracle of the first Christmas long ago through the eyes of a new mother who has just given birth to her first child. As a result, she imagines the dusty barn, nearby animals, a mother’s lullaby and the travelers coming from afar to welcome the new baby. The parallels she sees as she discovers her own feelings for her child are astounding.

Won’s illustrations are really great. They are soft and expressive. Certainly this would make a great gift for your grand this Christmas. You can share the miracle of the first Christmas while reminding them they are your little miracle.

About the author: Julie Berry grew up in western New York. She holds a BS from Rensselaer in communication and a MFA from Vermont College in writing for children and young adults. She now lives in southern California with her husband and four sons.
