The following are some of the wonderful notes /emails we’ve received from our readers – Enjoy!

We’d love to hear from you, too – editor@grandmagazine.com

Good morning!!

I was so happy to read your email this morning, as I’m definitely calling on my reserves in the “calming down” part of life right now.

My biggest “thank you” to technology is being able to FaceTime with my g-kids. They are Amelia, 9 years old, and her twin brother and sister, who is 15 months old. They are a huge part of my life, as they live only about 10 miles from me. But with this “social distancing”, they may as well be across the world!

Yesterday, I wanted to drop off some new shoes for the little ones, as they’re beginning to walk, and my daughter and Amelia held them up to the windows while I waved and cooed at them from the porch. While my little grandson thought it was hilarious to stand in the windowsill, my little granddaughter kept reaching for me, and then cried when we couldn’t hug. I wanted to cry myself!  So sad to be so close and yet so far.

We will all get through this pandemic, and I’m hoping we come away with even more closeness with each other, as we realize what we had to give up to get that.

Again, thanks for your email!

Hugs,

Donna (aka Nana)
