Climate Change – What You Need To Know About Climate Feedback Loops

Hey GRANDparents,

We’re being called to action to do everything we can to prevent further climate change.

The future of your grandchildren depends on all of us.

Will today’s grandparents act to protect our descendants from the climate crisis?

WHY OLD AGE IS LIKE CLIMATE CHANGE

Old age is a time when we can no longer take things for granted. We who are old today came of age (post-W.W. II) in a time the French call “les Trente Glorieuses” (the 30 glorious years of prosperity). Like good health, we take it for granted. So with planet earth, once completely covered with ice, we take the Holocene for granted, even as the Anthropocene is the new, and still unknown reality before our very eyes.  But can we see it?  Is denial only for those who reject climate change?  Bill McKibben had it right when he said we who are old are closer to the exit than to the entrance. For my birthday last year, I got a T-shirt that said “I thought growing old would take longer.” I also thought climate change was for future generations.  Think again.

Here’s another inspiring video to watch and share.
