Work on Your Lifestyle Using These 5 Mobile Apps

A new year has just begun, and most of us are seriously looking for a big refresh. And what better way to get that than by starting on it today?

If you are thinking of decluttering things in your life, you should consider looking for options through your smartphone. The beauty of technology is that hundreds of apps are available on your smartphone that will help you get what you need.

This is where we come in; we have made it easy for you by narrowing down 5 apps that will be useful for a lifestyle change.

Do keep in mind that you need to have a reliable internet connection to use these apps. If you are looking for suggestions for internet service, we recommend checking out Xfinity internet plans for a smooth connection for navigating through mobile apps.

Moving on, let’s check the 5 apps we have narrowed down for you:

My Affirmations – Be Positive

Do you want to adopt a new mindset for the new year? Why don’t you start today by downloading the My Affirmations app on your smartphone?

This incredible app offers encouraging, loving, and wholesome phrases as scheduled or push notifications every day. This can have a positive change in your mindset.

This app encourages you to focus on wholesome thoughts instead of negative ones. Believe it or not, it will definitely make a noticeable difference in your mood.

Apart from phrases, you can also take advantage of a built-in feature of breathing exercises that includes various resources focused on your respiratory health.

We could use more apps like My Affirmations to help us get through our days with daily positive reminders.

Forest – Helps in Concentration

We often get distracted easily by checking our phone for messages or social media while we are in between our tasks. This often makes us lose focus and affects our productivity.

Luckily, there is a way you can avoid the distractions.

The Forest app keeps your phone away so you can get your work done. In this app, you plant a little tree any time between 10 minutes to 2 hours, and the tree grows within that set time frame.

The tree dies as soon as you switch to a different app or close the app on your phone. Or even use other features of your phone, such as sending a message, receiving/sending a phone call, etc. See what it did there?

It is also a useful app for those who want to work on dumbing down their smartphone addiction.

Plant Nanny 2 – Tracks Water Intake

An average water intake by any adult should be around 11 cups for women and 15 for men. But with our hectic lifestyle, it gets pretty easy to keep track of water intake. And that does not bode well for later.

Plant Nanny 2 keeps track of your water intake daily and sends push notifications to drink water. You have to input every time you drink water, and that allows the app to calculate how much you are drinking and how much you should be drinking.

Here’s the fun part about this app: you can grow a plant in the app, and you have to not let it die by continuously watering it. Every time you drink water, you water the plant in the app as well. If you don’t input, the plant may die, and that is a great motivation to get you going.

Streaks – Work on Your Habits

This is a habit-tracking app for when you want to adopt a habit, or rather lose one by recommending the same task repeatedly. Streaks could be an app for you if you get motivated by seeing how you’re progressing.

All you need to do is create a to-do list with specific tasks that you need to complete every day. You also get to choose how many times you need to do it in a day, and the app helps you set reminders for these tasks.

Streaks also provides you with statistics after assessing your progress throughout the day. As you can already tell from the name of the app, the main goal here is to maintain a streak of consecutive days.

As a first-hand experience, we found this app pretty useful for letting go of our bad habits.

Splitwise – Manage Your Expenses

Do you owe some money to a bunch of people but don’t keep track? It can be difficult to remember the amount you need to return.

There is an app for that as well: Splitwise. With the help of this app, you can keep track of all your expenses that you share with other people, whether friends or family.

Just enter the expense information i.e., how much to owe, how much you paid, and to whom you owe, and then tag the person(s). You can also add the amount that your friends need to return to you and tag them in Splitwise.

After paying the amount, the user can change the status to paid. This app is pretty handy and helps to keep track of all our expenses.

Wrapping Up

Here we conclude the list of lifestyle apps to make your days more interesting. The thing about using these apps is that you must know that you need to live a more healthy and organized life, and that’s only when these apps can help you out.

I hope that you utilize the apps mentioned above so that you can get your whole life in line. This new year, give yourself a better and improved version of your own self.
