New data has found the most loved Christmas-inspired baby names in Florida, with Avery and Matthew taking the top spots.
The study, conducted by social online casino PlayFame, gathered data from the Social Security Administration (SSA) list of the 100 most popular girls’ and boys’ names in 2023 in Florida. The number of babies given names inspired by Christmas in 2023 was found. The names were then ranked based on the number of babies with the name.

Avery takes the crown as the most popular Christmas-inspired girl’s name, with 319 babies given this festive name in 2023. This old English name means “ruler of the elves,” which has a whimsical connection to the holiday season, especially with the popular tradition of “Elf on the Shelf.” It bridges a classic etymological meaning with a playful, modern Christmas association.
Ranked second for girls, with 308 births, is Scarlett. Its profound red connotation ties beautifully to the rich Christmas decorations and holiday cheer hues, making it a timeless and elegant choice.
Grace claims the third spot for girls, with 296 births, Stella is fourth, with 278 births, and Gabriella rounds out the top five, with 263 births.

Gabriel ranks third, with 546 namesakes, Theodore is fourth, with 483 births, and Luke rounds out the top five, with 465 births.
