New Song for Grandparents Day

Much to my delight, this week I received an email from Lori Jackson letting me know about her new song to celebrate grandparents. Her timing could not be better as National Grandparents Day is this Sunday, September 13th.
This song was produced through the joint efforts of Paul Santa Maria, Lori Jackson, Jayden Venable, Charlie Jackson, and Michele Cooney. The song is from the grandchild’s perspective, not the grandparents. Lori’s grandchildren wrote the lyrics, and Paul and Lori provided tasteful guitar accompaniment. Michele Cooney provided the vocals, and Paul’s production, editing, and mastering skills brought it all together.
Paul is Lori’s guitar teacher and mentor. When she brought the idea for this song to him, he immediately began brainstorming melodies and complex chord progressions with her, helping to shape her concept into a song.
The lyrics provided by Jayden and Charlie were heartfelt, inspired by their childhood memories and the meaningful experiences they shared with their grandparents.
Paul’s mastery of music production enabled him to bring this song together quickly in his personal music studio.
Michele Cooney is a classically trained vocalist and keyboardist who provided both primary and backing tracks to complete the song.
The team worked diligently to complete it and release it on all major streaming platforms. You can also visit Paul’s website www.PaulSantaMaria.com for the song and video. This coincided with Grandparents Day, which gave the song additional significance.
We hope this song reminds you of your grandparents or brings a smile to your face if you are lucky enough to be a Grandparent yourself.
