As a graduate of Boston University, Dr. Rancourt began her career in education as an elementary school teacher. She was an adjunct associate professor at New York University, focusing on Social Sciences, Organizational Behavior and Communication. In addition to IT’S ALL ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS! New Ways to Make Them Healthy and Fulfilling, at Home and at Work, Dr. Rancourt authored Ask Dr. Gramma Karen: Helping Young Parents and Grandparents Deal with Thorny Issues and Ask Dr. Gramma Karen, Volume II: Savvy Advice to Soothe Parent-Grandparent Conflicts. Her first book was on parenting, Yeah But, Children Need… Dr. Rancourt’s column, “Ask Dr. Gramma Karen,” provides advice for parents, grandparents, and grandchildren.
